Strengthening PDF  | Print |
Specific core stability or strengthening exercises may be inluded in your treatment regime to accelerate your rehabilitation and return to sport or work. These are provided on an individual  basis, and address specific muscle imbalances.

Strengthening is often an important part of regaining the full function of muscles that are "switched off" or not working to their full potential in response to pain or dysfunction, or rehabilitating tendon injuries. In most cases when performing your exercises, the most you will experience should be a mild discomfort or be performed in a painfree range of movement.

Your physiotherapist will guide you with exercises that are the most appropriate ones for you.

Dry Needling PDF  | Print |
This effective treatment uses specific acupuncture techniques to treat movement restrictions, following an assessment of your movement, biomechanics and palpation of your muscle tissue. Treatment is aimed at immediately improving your range of movement.

A single use, disposable acupuncture needle is used, and treatment is generally as comfortable, or more comfortable than deep tissue massage or joint mobilisation, often with even greater benefits. There is also a remarkable absence of the “post treatment tissue soreness” sometimes experienced  following other manual therapy.

Prior to receiving treatment, your therapist will ask you questions regarding your physical and medical history to ensure dry needling is a safe option for you.
